Upcoming Event – TVIP Proposers’ Day

August 23, 2024

R&D Project Funding: Test Vehicle Innovation Pipeline (TVIP)

Join us on Tuesday, September 10, for TVIP Proposers’ Day. Learn more about the NSTC’s second R&D jump start project, meet like-minded individuals, and explore teaming opportunities.

The TVIP program will focus on leveraging economies of scale in shared test vehicles to drive innovation. For this program, test vehicles are defined as common sets of standardized processes, including measurement and data analysis, with reusable masks or partially fabricated wafers.

What: This Proposers’ Day event will introduce the TVIP program and provide information and timelines for potential applicants. We will provide an overview of the program goals, address questions, and provide opportunities for networking and teaming among attendees.

Why: Bringing new technology from “lab-to-fab” is a difficult and costly enterprise. The development of a comprehensive set of shared Test Vehicles can be one way to accelerate innovation and technology transition.

The objective of the TVIP program is the successful creation of end-to-end prototyping capabilities through test vehicles which will integrate test chip designs, mask sets, foundry wafer processing, measurement, and data analysis to accelerate the “lab-to-fab” transition. The challenge will be to define and develop a comprehensive set of test vehicles in support of the industry.
